Emily Ogilvy lost her match this afternoon against Laura Murray 5&4. Emily has done so very well to make it to the last 16. I am, as always, very proud of her acheivements.

There has been one other upset this afternoon when the number one seed Pamela Pretswell, was knocked out by Aberdeenshire's Carol Wilson.
So far these are the only results available.

Emily Ogivly has progressed to the next round of the Scottish this morning. Emily won her match against Sheena Wood 2&1. Many congratulations go to Emily and the very best of luck this afternoon. Emily will play Laura Murray at 2pm.

Unfortunately Jacqueline Sneddon lost her match this morning to Jane Turner 3&2, our commiserations go to Jacqueline.
SCOTTISH LADIES (CLOSE) AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP

The qualifying rounds for the Scottish took place on Monday and Tuesday. The playing conditions were awful with wind and rain being the feature on both days. However I am pleased to report that two Perth and Kinross members have qualified through to the matchplay stages which commence today. They are Emily Ogilvy who qualified in 21st place and Jacqueline Sneddon who qualified 25th.

Jacqueline teed off at 8.46 playing against the number 8 qualifier Jane Turner and Emily teed on at 9.10 against the number 12 seed Sheena Wood.

Good luck to both.

MATCH AGAINST FIFE

Unfortunately our squad did not fair well this weekend against the Scottish Title holders fife when the senior squad went down 3.5 to 0.5. The juniors did better with a 1 - 1 draw.

The players in the senior section were Laura Walker and Eve Muirhead who lost to Louise Kenney and Katrina Milne 4&3, Alex Bushby and Catherine Williams lost to Fiona Hastie and Elaine Moffat 3&2, Jillian Milne and Fiona Ramsay who halved their match against Susan Jackson and Karen Sharp and the final match was Jane Yellowlees and Laura Campbell who lost 6&4 to Ashley Wilton and Linda Dyball.
The juniors taking part were Megan Aird and Eilidh Watson who lost to Rachael Hamilton and Lauren White 4&2 and our only winning partnership was Erin Millar and Ailie Burnett who won 1 up against Shannon MacGuire and Sam Munro.

My thanks as always go to Shona Leighton who organised the event and to Lenore Kyle, Pam Drysdale, Liz Miskimmin and Pat Colquhoun who came along to support the team.
CONGRATULATIONS CARLY

Good news from Squad member Carly Booth as Scotland wins the Nations Cup team event at the weekend's Welsh women's open amateur stroke-play championship at windswept Royal Porthcawl. Carly along with Kelsey MacDonald and Kylie Walker were the Scotland team members. Although the trio did not do as well as they had hoped individualy they are very happy to do Scotland proud by bringing home the Nations Cup Trophy.

Carly finished in joint 12th whilst Kylie Walker finished joint sixth and Kelsey MacDonald 17th.

Well done to them!
