Emily & Emma were reunited and found form against Carol Wilson & Katie Thomson to win by 3 & 1.

Final result from Sunday Perth & Kinross 6 1/2 Aberdeenshire 2 1/2
The golf played over the weekend by all players was inspirational - a real joy to watch. Perth & Kinross had the top two performers of the tournament - Alexandra Bushby played 6 won 6 and Fiona Ramsay played 6 won 5, halved 1. My thanks go to our team of players who performed with dedication and focus and who received compliments all weekend from everyone around them. My thanks also to Vice Captain, Dawn Butchart who's support has been unconditional and unwavering throughout. We were joined by a stalwart group of supporters, caddies and helpers over the weekend, notably Dorothy Farquhar who was there all day, every day and Lenore Kyle who worked tirelessly collecting and recording the scores - their support is very much appreciated. For those who weren't able to attend - you missed a real treat.

2nd Northern Counties 4 points - 14 game points

County team member Emily Ogilvy joined fellow team member Roseanne Niven on level par after the first round of the Ladies' British Open Amateur Championships at Royal County Down today. Emily started eagle, double bogey eagle in a round which included a birdie 4 at the ninth hole. Emily & Roseanne, whose round included five birdies, lie in joint 20th place and are the best placed Scots in the field. Well done to both girls and good luck for tomorrow.
Ladies' British Open Amateur Championship Results
The results so far from the Ladies British Open Amateur Championship which is held at Royal County Down is that our own Roseanne Niven has posted a first found of 75 which is par for the course and at the moment she is 6 off the leader Azahara Munoz (SPA) who is -6 ahead of Jade Scheffer (FRA) and Caroline Westrup (SWE) who are both -3.
Roseanne has made a great start she has matched the par of 75 in very difficult conditions - with wind blowing and fiery greens. Roseanne started at the 10th - this is the first time the LGU have ever used a two-tee start in a championship. She had a double-bogey 5 at the short 14th but birdied three of the par-5 holes, the 13th, 15th and 18th to turn in one-under-par 37. Rosenanne continued birdieing the par-5s with a 4 at the first hole but then dropped shots at the 4th 6th and 8th before birdieing the long ninth for one-over-par 38 for her second nine.
Excellent first round scoring from County Team member Roseanne. Will let you know how Emily faired when I get the result in.

A first too for County member Norma Fleming of Alyth who beat County junior member and defending champion Jacqueline Sneddon at the 19th hole.
Congratulations to you both !
(Please let us know your Club Championships results so we can post them on the site. JG)
ALYTH CANCELLED
Sorry to all we didn't managed to get hold of but we did try our very best to let everyone we could know that the meeting at Alyth was cancelled. This was due to flooding. The greenkeepers took the decision just before 9am this morning and unfortunately we had to cancel the days play.
However we rearranged the date to the 20th of July. I would appreciate if members could contact me by email or telephone to confirm if you can play on this day.
Once again I do apologise for any inconvenience this may cause but unfortunately the weather is outwith our control!!

If you can help by being a caddy or help in the club house then please call me on 01828 633000 or 01828 633395 and let me know your availability. Or please just come along on the day and support our players over the weekend.

Both Emily and Roseanne fared very well in fine conditions in the St Rule Trophy on the Old Course at St Andrews . Emily's morning round of two under par 74 preceded a steady one over par 77 this afternoon giving her a three round total of 227 . Roseanne was disappointed with her morning round (79) when the putts just wouldn't drop but followed it up with a splendid 4 under par 72 in the afternoon. Her three round total was 230. Congratulations to both girls.
Krystle Caithness won on 11 under par, one short of the tournament record, with excellent rounds of 71, 72 & 73 (total 216).
