 A perfect day for our meeting at Aberfeldy. Glorious sunshine and not a breath of wind and great to see everyone in shirt sleeves instead of being wrapped up in several layers of clothing and waterproofs. The course was in excellent condition and just a pity the meeting clashed with the Midland Vets at Burntisland otherwise we would have had more playing. Those that were there thoroughly enjoyed then day and thanks to Aberfeldy Club for a warm welcome and good food.

Unfortunately P&K did not fair so well and finished a disappointing 4th position.

Wishing P&K Team the very best of luck this weekend in the Inter-County North Division Championships.

The tournament kicks off tomorrow at Monifieth continuing until Monday. The weekend is a round-robin event with P&K, Angus, Northern Counties and Aberdeenshire all eager to win through to the Scottish Finals which takes place in September at Montrose.

Foursomes will be played in the in the every morning followed by Singles in the afternoon.

Supporters are very welcome so if you can please come along and support our girls, see you there!!

CONGRATULATIONS GB&I

P&K send warm congratulations to the GB&I team who won the Curtis Cup today at Nairn by won point from the USA team. This is extra special as GB&I have not lifted the cup since 1996. Captain Tegwan Matthews showed great leadership and rallied her team following what was a disapointing first day.

Well done, great golf and supberb that the Curtis Cup, the Ryder Cup, the Walker Cup and the Solheim Cup are all now in our possession on this side of the Atlantic.

COMMONWEALTH SPOONS

Here's hoping I was the only member to turn up to Comrie last night not knowing it was cancelled! Sorry I didn't post yesterday regarding the cancellation but clearly I was unaware! Below is a note from the Captain regarding the re-arrangements.

Commonwealth Spoons at Comrie

Unfortunately, due to heavy rain, the course became unplayable at Comrie this morning and those already started on their round had to be called in.

This meeting has been re-arranged for Thursday 26th July at Comrie. Please send your entries to Carol Lambie as before. Those who had entries in for to-day will require to re-enter as we know some cannot manage the new date. By the same token, we hope others who could not play to-day will be able to come on the 26th July.
