P&K WIN COUNTY TEAM TROPHY

At the Scottish Ladies Amateur Championship this week not only did we have a semi finalist in Jen Saxton we also picked up the County Team Trophy. Three players are selected to represent the county they were Jen Saxton, Eilidh Watson and Kirsty Brodie, two scores count and with a total of 160 P&K came out top. Well done girls, great result.

Pictured above us Jen and Eilidh. Kirsty was not there as she was playing in the Stephen Gallagher Trophy at Cardrona and is currently holding 2nd place, fellow team member Megan Ashley is sitting third. Good luck to them both tomorrow.

On an aside Jen and Eilidh's aggregate score of 160 would also have won them the best club trophy however Scottish Golf say they must enter this through their club or before play....I for one think this should just be an automatic entry. What do you think??

CONGRATULATIONS JEN

Congratulations got to P&K team member Jen Saxton who fought back from 4 down to beat reigning Scottish Champion Alisa Summes by 1 hole.

Jen will progress to the last eight and face Tara McTaggart (minto) tomorrow morning.

SCOTTISH UPDATE

The top two seeds Chloe Goadby and Emma Hale were both knocked out in the first round this morning. This leaves P&K team member Jen Saxton the top seed of the remaining players.

Jen won her match this morning 2&1 unfortunately Jen is our only remaining player, as both Eilidh Watson and Kirsty Brodie were knock out this morning in hard fought matches.

Jen will play last years champion Ailsa Summers (Carnoustie) this afternoon.

Good Luck Jen

SCOTTISH WOMENS AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP

The Scottish Womens Amateur Championship is taking place this week at Royal Aberdeen. Play commenced on Tuesday in horrific conditions however yesterdays play was cancelled due to winds reaching 40 miles per hour. Therefore only Tuesdays play was the basis for the match play stages of the tournament which takes place today .

P&K players did extremely well with Jen Saxton (Muckhart) sitting tied 3rd on an impressive 2 over par. Eilidh Watson (Muckhart)  tied 11th on 6 over and Kirsty Brodie (Strathmore) tied 26th on 10 over. Following these results P&K are sitting tied top of the leaderboard for the McNeil Trophy which is a county event where two top scores from each county count.

In this mornings match play, Jen will play Jasmine Mackintosh (Hazelhead Golf Club), Eilidh will play Clara Young (North Berwick) Clara won the St Rule on Sunday, and Kirsty will play Katie Wright (Stranraer GC)

Tee times commenced at 8:30. Kirsty teed off at 8:46 and is currently all square through 7, Jen tees off at 9:58 followed by Eilidh at 10:06.

Good Luck to our girls and I will try to keep you posted throughout the day.
