Our June meeting was held at Muckhart yesterday. It was an extremely hot day which was enjoyed by all sun lovers.

JAMBOREE WEEKEND IN PICTURES

ABERDEENSHIRE WINS THE JAMBOREE
P&K fought valiantly this weekend to retain the inter county Team Trophy however following today’s deciding match against Aberdeenshire we lost 8-1. All the games were closely fought. Full details below:

SUNDAY’S FULL RESULTS
Our girls pulled out all the stops today, playing magnificent golf won 7-2 against northern counties. Tomorrow is the final day against Aberdeen who have also won both days so it’s going to be a straight contest for who will be crowned champions. Come along if you can to support our team.

GREAT RESULT AT SCOTTISH SCHOOLS
Megan Ashley (Strathmore) and Katy Alexander (Blairgowrie) picked up first prize in the county team event for P&K today at Murrayshall. Team score 304. This is a 36 hole tournament played over both courses. This is the first time P&K have their names on this trophy, well done girls!
Megan also had a fantastic individual score of 76 on Lynedoch and 72 on the main course which placed her 2nd overall. Well done Megan.

KIRSTY WINS THE STEPHEN GALLAGHER TROPHY
Team member Kirsty Brodie has won the Stephen Gallacher Foundation Vase. She was tied with Louise Duncan so it went to a play off. Both girls birdied the 1st extra hole but they both missed the next green, Kirsty chipped to a foot and Louise failed to get up and down.

P&K Team member and our county Champion Jen Saxton narrowly missed out in a semi final place. She lost the match by 1 hole.

County Champion Jen Saxton (Muckhart) shot an impressive level par round in yesterday's qualifying round of the Scottish Women's Match play Championship which is being held at Elie Golf Course. She played Caitlin Boa (Royal Dornoch this morning and won by 1 hole. This afternoon she is facing last years Scottish Girls Champion Hannah Darling. At present they are all square.
Strathmore's Kirsty Brodie also qualified with a 3 over par round yesterday however is unavailable for the match play stages.
