Emily loses out to finalist Martine Pow.

County team member Emily Ogilvy (Auchterarder) was two up after five holes, having birdied the second, in the quarter finals of the Scottish Women's Amateur Championships at Dunbar this morning. Her opponent Martine Pow (Selkirk) got it back to all square at the turn with successive birdies at the eighth and ninth. Emily regained the lead at the 11th but Miss Pow never lost a hole after that. She squared with a par at the 12th and went one up for the first time with a birdie 4 at the long 14th before she won the hole and the match 2 & 1 after a concession at the 17th.
Martine went on to beat top seed and favourite for the title, Heather MacRae (Dunblane New) by 1 hole in the semi finals this afternoon. She will meet the winner of the other semi final between Anne Laing (Vale of Leven) and Louise Kenney(Pitreavie).

Our congratulations go to Emily for a fine performance
