Jillian Milne (Craigie Hill) yesterday won the P&K LCGA Champion of Champions over the Ryder Cup venue, PGA Course at Gleneagles.
Below is a report from our Captain Pat Colquhoun:
On a lovely sunny but very windy day, 19 champions from clubs within Perth
& Kinross competed for the Champion of Champions title. Played over the PGA
course which was in superb condition in spite of all the rain, everyone enjoyed
the experience and would sleep well last night feeling a bit weary when they
completed their rounds.
We are very grateful to Gleneagles for granting courtesy to hold this
competition on such a prestigious course. They have had a foretaste of what the
Ryder Cup team will face in 2014.
Given the strong wind with which they had to contend, scoring was excellent
and resulted in a tie for first between Jillian Milne and Eilidh Watson both
with a scratch 78. Congratulations to Jillian who took the title on a better
inward half.
