WINNING START FOR COUNTY TEAM

Below is a report from County Captain Pat Colquhoun following an impressive start for our county squad and juniors, well done all

Friendly Match V Fife at Gleneagles,Kings Course on Saturday 13th April.

The day started off bright and sunny but soon clouded over, the wind got a bit stronger and it became quite chilly.

Considering the Gleneagles courses have been closed all over Easter and beyond, it was in amazing condition. Some of the bunkers still had a lot of snow lying in them. Four of our potential team members were unable to play and their substitutes did extremely well. Vice Captain carol Muir was called in a few days ago. The seniors played 4 ball better ball and the juniors played greensomes. At the halfway house, we were down in 2 matches all square in one and one up in the other. Kirsty and Claire were giving 7 strokes and the two Jennifers were giving 12 strokes to their opponents.

A brilliant result and well done to all in the team.

Scores:- Laura Walker and Gwen Lambie lost to Susan Jackson and Fiona Hastie 5 and 4
