CONGRATULATIONS TO JEN SAXTON

County Champion Jen Saxton got a last minute place to play in the St. Rule at St. Andrews this weekend and she made the most of the call up by being placed equal 10th place in this prestigious event. 

Jen returned scores of  77 76 and 75 making at total of 2 over par over difficult windy conditions. An excellent result for Jen who was ably caddied by fellow team member Laura Walker. Well done Jen you did P&K proud.

COMMONWEALTH SPOONS AT BLAIR ATHOLL, the scnery was lovely and everyone enjoyed their visit.

Thirty two pairs took part in the Commonwealth Spoons round at Blair Atholl on Monday. Our thanks to the everyone at Blair Atholl and Pitlochry Golf Clubs for hosting the event. The weather was kind to us, the scenery was lovely and everyone enjoyed their visit.

A big thank you to the hospitality and catering staff who were great and also to the greenekeepers who had the course in excellent condition.

Three pairs qualify for the Commonwealth Spoons final at Bothwell Castle on Thursday 3rd September 2015.

NORTH OF SCOTLAND CHAMPIONSHIPS 6th - 8th JULY 2015

The North of Scotland Championships take place at Fortrose & Rosmearkie GC on 6th-8th July 2015. Concern has been expressed that the entries are slow (only 15 entries to date.)  For only £20 you can play two rounds on this lovely course and meet golfers from all over the North of Scotland.

This  competition is open to members of Aberdeenshire, Angus, Northern Counties and Perth and Kinross County Golf Associations. The winner will hold the title "North of Scotland Champion" and will retain the Gifford Trophy for one year. The Winner of the Handicap Section will retain the Angus Trophy for one year.To get more information and to access the Entry Form click on link below.

P&K Junior Championships were held at Auchterarder Golf Club today. The girls all played very well with some impressive scores being returned in very windy conditions.   This  is reflected in the CSS which was reduced to 68.

Congratulations to Kirstie Brodie , the new P&K Junior Champion and Megan Thom the Handicap Champion.

Well done also to Olivia Griffin, 10 years old, who played the 9 hole course, hitting all the Par 3s in regulation.
