RULES & TEA EVENT - ALL MEMBERS WELCOME!
How would you like to enjoy a delicious Afternoon Tea whilst finding out about the new rules from an international referee?
If so, come and join us for a County get-together at Kinnoull Parish Church Hall at 2.00 pm on Saturday 2 March.
Booking is limited to Members of our County. However, if any member would like to bring one of their friends they would be very welcome.

SUE JONES
It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of county member Sue Jones. Sue took unwell suddenly on Christmas Eve.
Sue was a great supporter of County Golf and was a committee member for P&K and also her home club Milnathort.
Our sincere condolences go to her family and her many friends at this very sad time. As of yet we have no details of funeral arrangements.

SCOTTISH GOLF YOUNG PERSON'S PANEL
Congratulations to Kirsten Miller from Strathmore Golf Club. Her application to be on the Scottish Golf Young Person’s Panel was successful.

Launched last month, the Young Person’s Panel is part of a new programme to help drive the future of golf in Scotland. It aims to offer young people a platform to voice their opinions about the sport. Identify what issues and barriers they face and share ideas on how to overcome them.

SPONSORED SPEED GOLF
It proved to be 3rd time lucky for our Sponsored Speed Golf event at Strathmore Golf Club yesterday!
Postponed twice due to bad weather, the event finally went ahead after the Seniors' Coaching on Sunday. The Speed Golf Team included seven Senior Squad members and one Match Secretary. They were as follows:
Katy Alexander, Megan Ashley, Laura Campbell, Jenny Collins, Jen Saxton, Isla Moncrieff, Laura Walker & Caroline Henderson.
With Isla's plan in hand, they raced round the 18 holes in an astonishing 36 minutes & 26 seconds. And, they almost broke 90! Well done everyone. It was a fantastic team performance!
The winners of our competition were:
1st. Jackie Nisbet (35mins 42sec)
2nd. Katie Morrison (30mins)
3rd. Willie Henderson (45mins 26secs)
The event raised:
The great news is that our Speed Golfers raised a total of £311 for our County funds. Thank you to everyone who sponsored them and also to Strathmore Golf Club for hosting the event.

The 1st Session of Winter Coaching took place yesterday at Strathmore Golf Club. Eight of our Senior Squad attended. The weather was cold, but dry.

JUNIORS' WINTER COACHING
The last coaching session of the year for our Juniors was held from 1pm to 3pm on Sunday 25 November 2018 at the Gleneagles Golf Academy.
Short game was the focus of the day. To add to the fun whilst they honed their skills, there was also a little team chipping challenge.
Despite the weather, there was a really good turn out by the Juniors. Well done girls, keep practising!

KINGSBARNS GIRLS' CLASSIC
The inaugural Kingsbarns Girls' Classic was held on Saturday 3 November 2018 at Kingsbarns Golf Links. The new golf development event for girls was hosted by Kingsbarns and supported by Scottish Golf Ltd. & Fife Golf.
This year, all of the Ladies' County Golf Associations in Scotland were invited to send two girls. In addition to the 4-ball better ball stableford competition, there was also a coaching clinic by Ladies' European Tour member Heather MacRae.
Cathy Lambie (Crieff) & Amy Mitchell (Strathmore) represented our County.
Our congratulations go to Eva Woodward & Natalie Fowler from Stirling & Clackmannan who were the winners of the 2018 Kingsbarns Girls' Classic.
What a fantastic opportunity for all the girls that attended!

CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS RESULT
14 Champions took part in the P&K Ladies' County Champion of Champions at Dunblane today. The winner was Isla Moncrieff with a scratch score of 78.
The win tops off a fantastic year for Isla Moncrieff who not only won her club championship at Pitlochry, but also at Aberfeldy. Well done Isla!!

Last night was the P&K LCGA AGM at Craigiehill Golf Club. Above is a selection of photos of our prizewinners and committee members.
Our Captain Jillian Milne chaired the meeting which saw some changes to the committee members, details of which can be found in the Committee link at the right hand side of the website.
