We're sorry to learn that P&K Past Captain (1983-84) and former President (1996-98), Betty Doe passed away on 9th January. 

We send our condolences to her family at this sad time.

JUNIOR GIRLS' COACHING

5 Junior Girls attended the first Coaching Session with Gareth Couzens at Middlebank Golf Centre today.  

The next session will be at Middlebank on Sun 3rd March.  

Anna Jackson (Kinross) was unable to attend last year's Prizegiving so our President, Lenore Kyle, also presented Anna with the Lenore Kyle Trophy (Spring Meeting 9 Hole Competition).

PAT COLQUHOUN

We're very sad to announce the passing of Honorary Member, Pat Colquhoun, on 27th January. 

Pat was former Treasurer,  Captain (2011-2013) and long time faithful supporter of the County (seniors and juniors) and the County Team.  As a mark of respect for her loyalty to the County, Pat was given an Honorary Membership in 2019.

MARGARET CAIRNS

Our members will be saddened to hear that P&K County Member Margaret Cairns passed away suddenly on Christmas Eve.  Our deepest condolences go out to her family and friends at this sad time.

Margaret was a member of Dunning Golf Club and P&K Ladies' County Golf Association. She was a regular and popular attendee at our County competitions over the last few years and will be greatly missed.

The funeral will be held at 2pm on Thursday 18 January at Perth Crematorium. All friends are welcome.  

JEN SAXTON - HOLE IN ONE !

Congratulations to County Squad member, Jen Saxton (Dunfermline) on her 1st ever hole in one.  Jen scored her ace on the par 3 4th at Oceanside Country Club, Ormond Beach.

Jen & Megan Ashley (Blairgowrie) are currently in Florida with the Scottish Women's High Performance Squad playing in the South Atlantic Women's Amateur Championship.  

Well done Jen - hope your HIO is a good omen for the upcoming season.

P&K LADIES HANDICAP LEAGUE AGM

Crieff were presented with the Loch Leven Larder Trophy as the 2023 Perth & Kinross Ladies' Handicap League champions at the P&K Handicap League AGM, held at Muckhart.

The AGM was well attended at Muckhart Golf Club on Sunday 5 November 2023.

Crieff won the 2023 P&K Ladies' Handicap League after they triumphed over Auchterarder by 4 - 1 in the final held at Muckhart Golf Club.

Sarah Faherty (King James VI) is the new administrator for the 2024 season.

RACE TO KINGSBARNS 2023

Lucy Moran (Milnathort) enjoyed a lovely day at Kingsbarns yesterday at the Scottish Golf Race to Kingsbarns event.

Perfect weather, sunshine and no wind - remarkable for St Andrews.

Great play by all the girls and boys from all over Scotland.

2023 SGM/AGM & PRIZEGIVING

The 2023 Perth & Kinross Ladies' County Golf Association AGM was well attended at Craigie Hill Golf Club yesterday.

The SGM/AGM:

The County President, Lenore Kyle, chaired both meetings, which saw the proposed change to the Constitution, regarding the introduction of an Affiliation Fee, unanimously approved by the 41 members who attended.

There were also a few changes to the Committee: 

Leaving Committee:
Retiring this year was Committee Member Gwen Tate (Kinross).  Our Junior Secretary, Gillian Wallace (Kinross), and Committee Member Susie Gillespie (Aberfeldy) both stepped down this year.

Joining Committee:
We are delighted to announce that Karen Moran (Scottish Golf) has agreed to be our new Junior Secretary and Christine Partridge (Perth Ladies) joined as a new Committee member.

Other changes:
Our President, Lenore Kyle (Milnathort) and Committee Member, Hannah Hislop (Blairgowrie) who had both been co-opted after 2022 AGM, were formally elected to Committee.  Hannah has also volunteered to be our Safeguarding Officer.

Our 2024 Fixture List is still in progress. Full details of the fixtures will be posted on this website as soon as possible.

It was also lovely to see 2 of our Junior Girls there to pick up their trophies:  Zoe Davidson (Alyth) collected the Scratch Championship and the Order of Merit trophies, while Sophie Goult (Auchterarder) received the 9 Hole Championship trophy.

 

SCOTLAND WOMEN'S REGIONAL POOL

Congratulations to County Team Member, Katy Alexander (Blairgowrie), who has been selected for the Scotland Women's Regional Pool and will be invited to specific training days alongside our High Performance Team members Megan Ashley and Jennifer Saxton.  You're all doing P&K proud.

         

SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING & ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING - INFORMATION

A Special General Meeting will take place immediately before this year’s P&KLCGA AGM on Sunday 29th October 2023 at Craigie Hill Golf Club, Perth.

Registration opens at 10.30am with SGM scheduled for 10.45am, immediately followed by AGM at 11.00am.

P&K LADIES' CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS - DRAW

The Draw for the Perth & Kinross Ladies' Champion of Champions, at Gleneagles Queen's Course on Sunday 1 October 2023, is available below.

Please arrive no later than 15mins before your tee time to register. There will be a brief prize-giving following the completion of play.

CRIEFF WIN 2023 HANDICAP LEAGUE

Well done to Crieff beating Auchterarder 4-1 in the Handicap League final at Muckhart.  Matches were played in great spirits despite the wet weather at the end.
