Due to the dispicable weather we have endured, Dunblane Golf club had no other option other to close the course yesterday which in turn brought about the cancellation of our County Meeting and reshechdule.
Miriam has confirmed the new date which will be 11th October. Could all players who had entered yesterday's competition please phone Miriam to confirm if you can attend the re-arranged day and of course if you hadn't entered due to other committments and now find you can play please also contact Miriam.

NORTH OF SCOTLAND GIRLS CHAMPIONSHIP
P&K hosted the North of Scotland Girls Championships yesterday at Strathmore Golf Centre. Strathmore kindly provided courtesy and were as always extremely helpful in the organisation of the event.
Scoring was excellent and Ailsa Summers of Carnoustie Ladies won the Championships with a par equaling 72. She was closely followed by club mate Jessica Meek on 73.
The winner of the Handicap Championship was Lauren Watson of Deeside who returned an excellent nett 69, Alyth's Rheanna Thom also returned a 69 but was pipped by Lauren virtue of a better inward half.
Below is the results of the prizewinners.
3 Heather Munro Monifieth 76 BIH
3 Kirsten Pryde Deeside 81-10-71 BIH
Due to the excellent scoring the CSS reduced to 71.
Captain Pat Colquhoun and her team did an excellent job in the organising of this event which was enjoyed by all the girls who participated. It is so good to see so many young girls display their golf in an event such as this and they all thoroughly enjoyed the day.

Nicola Roberts (Dunblane New) qualified as 15th seed in the St Andrews Junior Ladies Open yesterday with a 3 over par 74 on the Eden Course. Today Nicola played number 2 seed Tegan Seivwright and narrowly missed out on making it to the next round losing out by 2 holes.
Rheanna Thom (Alyth) and Kirsty Brodie (Strathmore) both qualified into the handicap section. Rheanna qualified as 2nd seed but unfortunately was beaten this morning by Charlotte Heeps (Thornbury) 2&1 in another tight match. Kirsty Brodie who took the last spot as seed 8 took on the number 1 seed Sophie Bennett (Southport Old Link) and won through with an impressive 4&2 victory. She will now play in tomorrows semi final against Mirren Fraser (Powfoot).
Today's scratch matches were played over the Eden course and the Handicap matches over Strathyrum course. Should Kirsty make it through to the Final she will play over the Old Course.
