A date for your diary......
The 2027 North of Scotland Championship is being held at Brechin 26th - 28th July.
P&K were well represented by 17 ladies this year and it came with great success when Lucy Moran (Dunbracken) became the North of Scotland Champion and Mary Graham (Kinross) was Handicap R/U. Can we do even better next year??
More details will follow in due course.
The ladies who played at the North Inch today enjoyed a dry day and a course in fine condition. Unfortunately the same couldn't be said for the evening participants who decided discretion was the better part of valour and thought better of braving the rather wet conditions.
Well done to Caroline Henderson (Aberfeldy) for the best gross score of 76 and to Christine Partridge (Perth Ladies) with a 3 under par best nett score of 66.
The full results can be found here:

Four girls played in the 18 Hole Summer Championship Meeting at Strathmore Golf Centre on Sunday 9th August 2026. Out in two balls, they practically ran round the course in just over 3 hours and still managed some cracking scores. Tarah S and Lucy M both shot scratch rounds of 3 over par and Tarah taking the win on count back. Lucy M won the handicap plate with a net 75. Jessica and Lucy R played very well in the blustery conditions and have both benefited from being involved with Scottish Golf Girls training pilot this year.
Thanks to Christine P from the P&K committee for the help on the day and to Strathmore Golf Centre for giving us courtesy of the course.
The rain at Banchory Golf Club this afternoon wasn't enough to dampen the thrilling finals we were lucky to witness. In both finals it was P&K v Aberdeenshire.
Congratulations to P&K Junior and Squad Member Lucy Moran (Dunbracken) who won the North Of Scotland Championship for the first time this afternoon. Lucy also won the Girls Championship for the third time. Lucy beat Robyn Fowlie (Edzell) by 2&1 with Lucy 3 under par for her match.
In the Handicap Championship Final Mary Graham (Kinross) lost by the narrowest of margins to Beth Forbes (Kemnay) at the 19th hole after a match that swung one way then the other.
We're very proud of our ladies today who gave it their all in very wet and testing conditions.
Great news - we have a P&K member in both Scratch and Handicap Championship finals.....but we had to lose one member too!
We'll be cheering on Lucy Moran (Dunbracken) and Mary Graham (Kinross) this afternoon.

This is a new initiative introduced by Scottish Golf's Performance Team this year to provide monthly coaching sessions.
They were put through their paces by PGA Professional Karyn Dallas starting with a dynamic warmup, swing warmup working through their clubs, pitching to a target from increasing distances and bunker practice....all before lunch! After lunch they were heading out to do some course management.

The P&KLCGA girls enjoyed a sunny but breezy day at Murrayshall Golf & Country Club on Saturday 23 May 2026 for the Girls Spring Meeting.
The 18 holes competition was run over the blue tees of the main course with the 9 holes competition on the Lynedoch.
The Scratch Drysdale Trophy was won by Lucy Moran (Dunbracken Ladies) and the very close Handicap Competition for the Karyn Dallas Quaich was won by Tarah Simpson (Blairgowrie) on countback from Jessica Sievwright (Blairgowrie).
Lucy Richardson (Alyth) triumphed in the 9-hole competition to win the Lenore Kyle Trophy, with a very creditable score of 56. Willow Rae (Alyth) and Mia Baxter (Strathmore) were very close behind and it was great to hear they were all laughing and chatting all the way round the course.
Thank you to Catherine from the P&K ladies committee for helping with the younger players and the parents (who had permission) for helping ball spot and push trollies up the Murrayshall hills!
A huge thank you to Murrayshall for allowing us courtesy of the courses which was very much appreciated.
