SENIOR LADIES OPEN NEW DATE
The Callander Senior Ladies Open was
cancelled in June due to the course being unplayable because of torrential
rain. It has been re-arranged for 25th August. Details below:

FINAL AT THE HIGHLAND
Katy Alexander (Blairgowrie) is this years Ladies Highland Champion. Katy defeated fellow P&K member Isla Moncreiff (Pitlochry)
Congratulations go to Kathleen Duncan who works tirelessly to make this an exceptional tournament year on year. The number of entrants are growing each year which only proves her hard work is definitely paying off.
Well done to all the finalists especially Katy and of course to Kathleen.
NEW FROM THE HIGHLAND
Although I don’t have any score from the semi finals I have been kindly told from Kathleen the it’s an all P&K final. Katy Alexander (Blairgowrie) and Isla Moncreiff (Pitlochry). They will tee off at 2pm today.

ALYTH RESULTS
It was a beautiful day at Alyth yesterday for our county meeting, our thanks to the greenkeeping staff as the course was in magnificent condition. Our thanks also go to the catering staff for keeping us all fed and watered.
Scoring was excellent with Jane Yellowlees returning our top score of Scratch 72 nett 66.

North of Scotland - Update
Sorry to have to report that Val Purdie lost her semifinal on the 18th at Kirriemuir to the eventual overall winner of the Handicap Division, young Rachel Mathieson (age15) from Hazelhead Golf Club. Well played Val - final next year!

NORTH OF SCOTLAND UPDATE
Val Purdie is our last P&K lady standing in the North of Scotland Championship.
Val was unfortunately drawn against fellow member Helen Ewan this morning and won the match 3&1, then this afternoon played Susan Sneddon and won 2&1. Tomorrow Val tees up against Rachel Mathieson at 9:22. We all send our best wishes to Val, play well!
In the scratch championship top seed Jasmine Mackintosh plays Megan Robb and Jane Grubb plays Sammy Leslie

Unfortunatley all three P&K players were knocked out this morning in the first round of the North of Scotland Championship.

UPDATE FROM THE SCOTTISH GIRLS
Yesterday Kirsten Miller played in her semi final match in the handicap section and unfortunately lost out to Iona Reid 4&3. Kirsten (Strathmore) loved the experience and this will give her loads of confidence.
Kirsty Brodie our semi finals in the Championship this morning and missed out in a place in this afternoons final. She lost to Louise Duncan 4&3.
Kirsty is part of the European Girls Team who will be playing for Scotland in the European Team Championship which is held at Forsgardens Sweden on July 10-14. We wish her well.
These girls have performed amazing this week and we are very proud of their achievements.

Kirsty Brodie (Strathmore) won her match yesterday 3&2 and will today play Grace Crawford of Gullane. Currently Kirsty is 2 up through 8.
In the handicap section Kirsten Miller (Strathmore) also won her match yesterday on the 19th hole and today plays Ailsa Brannock (Castle Douglas) and is currently 3 up through 8.
Unfortunately Megan Ashley (Strathmore) was knocked out yesterday.

Xact SCOTTISH GIRLS AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP
Good Luck to P&K Team player Kirsty Brodie who qualified in 3rd position for the Match play Championship which is being held at Moray Golf Club. Kirsty (Strathmore Golf Club) will play Carys Irvine (Craigielaw Golf Club) at 12:10 this afternoon.
Kirsty's final round of 72 which was -4 the CSS 76 brings her handicap cap to +1.
Two other P&K girls have made it through to the Handicap Section of the Match Play stages. They are Kirsten Miller and Megan Ashley both Strathmore.

The North of Scotland Grils Championship takes place at Kirriemuir on Sunday 2nd September. Time to get your entries in Girls. Please also try to encourage any girls from your club to enter.
