ST FILLANS GREENSOMES - 12TH SEPT.

Our final P&K County meeting is a Greensomes at St Fillans Golf Club on Thursday 12th September.


If you fancy an 18-hole Greensomes on one of Sandy Lyle's favourite courses in Scotland, grab a partner and fill out the entry form by clicking on the link below.  If you don't have a partner, fill out the appropriate section on the form and we'll try our best to match you up with another member.

Scottish Under 14 Open Championship

Good luck to P&K Junior Members Kornelia Zarychta (Crieff) and Tarah Simpson (Blairgowrie) who are competing in the Scottish Under 14 Open Championship at Dunfermline (Pitfirrane) Golf Club.


The 36 hole tournament takes place on Mon 12 & Tues 13 August with an international field of 139 boys and girls taking part.

St Andrews Junior Ladies Open

Best of luck to 2 P&K members, Team member Katy Alexander (Blairgowrie) who plays her Scratch Semi-final match tomorrow morning and Junior member Lucy Moran (Milnathort) who has reached the Handicap Final in the St Andrews Junior Ladies Open.

This 3 day tournament is run by St Andrews Links for young ladies under 23 years of age with maximum handicap index of 28.4 and played over the Eden, Strathtyrum and Old Course.  At this year's event there are 23 Scottish players in an international field of 75, with 8 Scots, including Katy & Lucy, making it through to the knockout stages.

NORTH OF SCOTLAND 2024 - FINAL RESULTS

Commiserations to P&K Junior member Lucy Moran (Milnathort) who lost out in this morning's Scratch semi-final to reigning NOS Champion Ellie Docherty (Moray). A great effort to progress this far in the North of Scotland Championships at Muir of Ord.

Congratulations to Iona Reid (Nairn Dunbar), the 2024 North of Scotland Champion. She beat fellow Northern Counties team-mate Ellie Docherty (Moray) by 2 up in today's final.



Congratulations also to Susan Campbell (Muir of Ord) who won the Handicap Championship.  She beat Lesley Watson (Deeside) by 5&3 in the final.

A good effort also from Junior member Zoe Davidson (Alyth) who qualified for the Scratch knockouts and our President Lenore Kyle (Milnathort) who reached the Handicap Quarterfinals.

NORTH OF SCOTLAND - DAY 2 RESULTS

After another beautiful day at Muir of Ord, congratulations to Lucy Moran (Milnathort) who has won through to tomorrow's North of Scotland Scratch semi-final v Ellie Docherty (Moray).

In the other semi-final, it's Iona Reid (Nairn Dunbar) v Holly McKenzie (Murcar Links).


Our President Lenore Kyle (Milnathort) sadly lost out to Susan Campbell this afternoon so in the NORTH OF SCOTLAND Ladies' Handicap Championship semi-finals it's Lesley Watson (Deeside) v Sally Bentley (Muir of Ord) and Susan Campbell (Muir of Ord) v Wendy MacDonald (Muir of Ord)

 Morning results - 

Lucy Moran won her Scratch 1st round match v  Michelle Finnie 4&3 and now plays Diane  Forsyth in the Quarterfinals this afternoon .

Zoe Davidson lost her 1st round match on 18th.



Meanwhile our President Lenore Kyle won her 1st round Handicap match 1 up against Lorraine Nixon.  She now plays this afternoon against Susan Campbell in the Quarterfinals.

Northern Counties Iona Reid(Nairn Dunbar) is the leading qualifier for the NORTH OF SCOTLAND Ladies' Championship at Muir of Ord.  

Congratulations to P&K Junior, Lucy Moran (Milnathort) who won the Scratch Plate in the Girls Championship with her gross of 76. 

Well done to our President Lenore Kyle (Milnathort) who has qualified for the Angus Salver Handicap finals with a nett 73.

SCOTTISH GIRLS' AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP

Good luck to our Junior Girls Zoe Davidson (Alyth) and Lucy Moran (Milnathort) who are teeing off in the Scottish Girls' Amateur Championship at Forfar tomorrow morning (Wed).  After 36 holes of golf on Wednesday, the top 32 qualifiers then progress to the matchplay stages.

P&K JUNIOR GIRLS - NATIONAL COMPETITIONS

Well done to Junior member Zoe Davidson (Alyth) who has won the latest Junior Tour event at Hayston Golf Club, Kirkintilloch on Sun 30th June.  Zoe had a 36 hole scratch score of 150.



Good luck to Lucy Moran (Milnathort) in the Scottish Girls U16 Open Championship at Muckhart which starts on 9th July.  The competition consists of 54 holes over the first 2 days, then the leading 60 competitors and ties returning the lowest gross scores will play a further 18 holes on the third day.

 

P&K GIRLS' CHAMPIONSHIPS

On Saturday 29th June at Kinross Golf Club, the P&K County Girls competed in both 18 and 9 hole competitions. The weather stayed amazingly dry with some excellent golf being played.

Zoe Davidson (Alyth) won the Scratch Championships with an excellent scratch 75 with Lucy Moran (Milnathort) as runner up and Isla Johnston (Pitlochry) in third place. 

The Handicap Championship was won by Anna Jackson (Kinross) with an excellent net 68 with Keira McBurney second with a 72.

Sophie Goult (Auchterarder) won the 9-hole Championship trophy with a scratch 56.

Well done to all and thank you to the committee ladies who helped on the course and behind the scenes on the day.

Thanks also to Kinross Golf Club for the use of the course and their facilities.

DUNKELD MEETING - RESULTS

Strong winds and intermittent rain didn't stop some of our ladies returning good scores at Dunkeld today.  



Congratulations to Kirsten Miller (Blairgowrie), who won the Coronation Trophy (Best Gross Score), and to Carol Lambie (Dunkeld & Birnam), who won the Handicap Quaich (Best Nett Score).
