THE NORTH OF SCOTLAND - FINAL DAY RESULTS

Commiserations to Kirsten Miller who lost out in this morning's semi-final to the eventual Champion.  A great effort to progress this far in the North of Scotland Championships at Arbroath.

Congratulations to Ellie Docherty (Moray), the 2023 North of Scotland Champion.  She beat Robyn Fowlie (Murcar) by 1 up in the final.

Congratulations also to Karen McGuinness (Newmachar) who won the Handicap Championship.  She beat Wendy Edwards (Forfar) by 1 up in the final.

Congratulations to Kirsten Miller (Blairgowrie) who, with the last putt on the 18th after a superb bunker shot, has won through to tomorrow's North of Scotland Scratch semi-final v Ellie Docherty.

In the other semi-final, it's Robyn Fowlie v Claire Prouse at the Ladies' Championship at Arbroath.

Aberdeenshires' Robyn Fowlie (Murcar) is the leading qualifier for the NORTH OF SCOTLAND Ladies' Championship at Arbroath.  Well done to P&K Team Member, Katy Alexander who finished with a gross 74.

Congratulations to P&K Junior, Zoe Davidson (Alyth) who won the Scratch Plate in the Girls Championship with a gross 82.

LAURA CAMPBELL WINS HIGHLAND OPEN

Many congratulations to P&K County Team member, Laura Campbell (Pitlochry), who is the Highland Champion 2023 winning the Atholl Cup.  She overcame Isla Moncrieff (Aberfeldy), fellow County Team-mate, in the final.

Congratulations also to County Member, Caroline Henderson (Aberfeldy), who won The Veterans Salver for the best 2 gross scores in the Qualifying Rounds.

NORTH OF SCOTLAND CHAMPIONSHIPS
Angus County are still accepting entries for this year's North of Scotland Championships, and are especially keen for Junior Girls to enter.  The Championships take place at Arbroath Golf Club from Mon 24th to Wed 26th July and are open to all members of P&K LCGA.  Posters below give more details about the Ladies and the Juniors events. The closing date for entries is 12 noon on Mon 10th July. There are links to the entry forms on our website.

Barrie Douglas Junior Masters

Congratulations to Lucy Moran and Zoe Davidson who played in the Barrie Douglas Junior Masters at Strathmore GC over the weekend.

Lucy finished 3rd in the girls handicap section and Zoe was best P&K girls scratch player. 

Well done to both girls a very good start to the season.

JAMBOREE - PERTH & KINROSS FINISH SECOND

Congratulations to Northern Counties who are this year's Northern Division Champions, with Perth and Kinross finishing in second place.

It was blistering hot conditions for all the players today and the destination of the trophy came down to the smallest of margins.

Northern Counties triumphed after winning all 3 of their matches at Muckhart.  They beat Angus 7 -2, Aberdeenshire 5.5 - 3.5 and Perth & Kinross 5 - 4.  They will represent North Division at the Scottish County Finals at Hilton Park, Milngavie from 1 - 3 September 2023.

Perth & Kinross finished second after 2 wins.  They beat Aberdeenshire 7 - 2, Angus 8 - 1 and lost to Northern Counties 4 - 5.

Aberdeenshire finished third with one win, beating Angus 5-4.

Day 3 results:

Perth & Kinross lost 4 - 5 against Northern Counties.

In the other match, Aberdeenshire won 5 - 4 against Angus.

Our ladies team will take on Aberdeenshire, Angus and Northern Counties in the North Division County Jamboree hosted at Muckhart Golf Club this weekend 10-12^th June. Please come along and cheer them on.  Remember to wear our county green!

Tee Times for Foursomes each day are 9.30am – 10.20am.

Tee Times for Singles each day are 2.30pm – 4.20pm.

Lunch and evening meals will be available at the club if you wish to make a day of it.

Hopefully the sun keeps its hat on for the weekend and the team can bring the trophy back to P&K.
