News from the British Amateur Championships

An exceptional round of 73 to go with her first round score of 78 has seen County team member Roseanne Niven (Crieff) qualify for the matchplay stages of the Ladies' British Open Amateur Championships being held at Alwoodley Golf Club in Leeds. Roseanne's total of 151 was good enough for joint 36th place with the top 64 to qualify. Really well done Roseanne and good luck for tomorrow.

Not such good news for fellow County team member Emily Ogilvy (Auchterarder)who scored 82 and 81 which unfortunately failed to qualify.
The leading qualifier was Carlota Ciganda (Spain) on 138 (70 & 68).
