Congratulations to Roseanne Niven (Crieff) who shot her best round so far on the US women's college circuit - a three-under-par 68 - to improve from joint 28th overnight to a final placing of joint 11th in a top-quality field of 93 for the Stanford Intercollegiate at Stanford University, California. Roseanne birdied the fifth, sixth, seventh, 11th and 12th with bogeys at the first and 18th in halves of 33 and 35 over the 6,089yd course. With earlier rounds of 73 and 77, she totalled 218 - seven shots behind the winner, Stacy Lewis (Arkansas). For the second time in a row, Roseanne was the best placed member of her University of California Berkeley team which finished 5th overall.
