14 SCOTS IN BRITISH WOMEN'S AMATEUR MATCH PLAY

Iceland’s Ragnhildur Kristinsdóttir is the leading qualifier for the match play stage of The Women’s Amateur Championship at Kilmarnock (Barassie).
From a starting field of almost 100 players aged from 13 to 58, the 23-year-old leads the top 64 players into the match play stage, which starts today.

Fourteen Scots have made it through, including the 2021 Scottish Women's Amateur champion, Chloe Goadby (St Regulus Ladies), Scotland's rising star, Hannah Darling (Broomieknowe), and our 2021 P&K Ladies' County Champion, Megan Ashley (Blairgowrie).

There are significant rewards for the champion, with exemptions into the AIG Women’s Open and, The US Women’s Open, The Evian Championship and The Augusta National Women's Amateur Championship.

Live scoring can be followed on The R&A’s website and social media.
