The P&K County Junior Girls played their Summer Meeting & County Championships at Kinross Golf Club today.
Summer Meeting & County Junior Girls' Championships:
Six Juniors played 18-holes and four Juniors played 9-holes. The results were as follows:

JEN SAXTON SELECTED TO PLAY FOR FOR SCOTLAND
Huge congratulations to County Team Member Jen Saxton who has been selected to play for Scotland at the European Ladies' Team Championship.
Scottish Golf announced its squads for the upcoming European Ladies, European Boys, European Girls and European Men’s Team Championships today. The teams will compete across Europe from 5 to 9 July.
The European Ladies' Team Championship will be held at Conwy Golf Club in Wales, from 5 to 9 July. Conwy was the venue for the 2021 Curtis Cup. Teams from twenty European countries including Scotland, Ireland, Wales and the defending champions, England, will battle it out to see who will be crowned this year's European champions.

JAMBOREE - PERTH & KINROSS FINISH SECOND
Many congratulations to Aberdeenshire who are this year's North Division Champions. Perth & Kinross finished in second place.
Aberdeenshire triumphed at this year's North Division Jamboree after they won all three of their matches at Kings Golf Club, Inverness. They beat Angus by 8-1, Perth & Kinross by 6-3 and Northern Counties by 6.5-2.5.`They will represent the North Division at the Scottish County Finals at Kirkcaldy Golf Club, from Friday 26th to Sunday 28th August 2022.
Perth & Kinross finished second after two wins. They beat Northern 6-3 and Angus 8-1, but lost to Aberdeenshire 3-6.
Northern Counties finished third with one win. They beat Angus 7-2.
Day 3 Results:
Perth & Kinross had a thumping 8 - 1 win against Angus today. In the other match Aberdeenshire won against Northern Counties 6.5 - 2.5

Unfortunately, Perth & Kinross lost (3 - 6) to Aberdeenshire at Inverness today. In tough conditions, the Perth & Kinross girls played some terrific golf, but Aberdeenshire, who were out for revenge after last year, came out top.

NORTH DIVISION COUNTY JAMBOREE 2022
The 2022 North Division County Jamboree will be held at Kings Golf Club, Inverness, from Saturday 11 June to Monday 13 June 2022.
This year's Perth & Kinross Ladies' County Team, who are the current Scottish Women's County Champions, will be defending the North Division County championship title that Perth & Kinross won at Monifieith Golf Club in 2021. They will be up against fierce competition from the other three North Division teams: Aberdeenshire, Angus and Northern Counties.
The winning team will go on to represent the North Division in the Scottish County Finals at Kirkcaldy, from Friday 26 to Sunday 28 August 2022.

CAMERON NEILSON WINS SCOTTISH WOMEN'S AMATEUR
Huge congratulations to Cameron Neilson (Alvaneu Bad) who won the Scottish Women's Amateur Championship at Trump International today.
Scottish Women's Amateur:
Cameron Neilson (Alvaneu Bad, Switzerland) is the new Scottish Women's champion after beating Lorna McClymont (Milngavie) at the 19th hole.
Four down at the 10th Neilson staged an increadible comeback to level the match at the 18th and win at the first extra hole.
Neilson made it to the final by beating Scottish Junior Masters winner Freya Russell (Troon), in-form Robyn Fowlie (Forfar) and Midlothian champion Kate McIntosh (Broomieknowe).
Reflecting on her win Cameron Neilson said:
“This win is at the very top, it’s a very proud moment for me. Winning the Scottish Championship is just unbeatable in my opinion. The earlier matches were tough and long and I was down in all of them which really helped me”
After a great run in the championship, Perth & Kinross County team member Jen Saxton (Dunfermline) lost out to Lorna McClymont by 5&3 in the semis.

Jen Saxton (Dunfermline) fought back from two down at the 17th to book her place in semi-finals of the Scottish Women's Amateur Championship.

There was a dramatic finish to Saturday's quarter-final matches after both Jen Saxton (Dunfermline) and Cameron Neilson (Alvaneu Bad) needed extra holes to secure their place in Sunday morning's semi-finals.
Having completed a comfortable 6&5 win against Emma Logie (Forfar) in the morning, Jen Saxton had to dig deep to turn around her quater-final against Shannon McWilliam (Aboyne). Two down on the 17th tee, Saxton managed to square the match at the 18th before going on to win the first extra hole. Saxton will meet Lorna McClymont (Milngavie) in Sunday's semi-finals.
Lorna McClymont ended the hopes of defending champion Chloe Goadby (St Regulus) with a 4&3 win in the morning before easing her way through to Sunday's semi agaist Saxton with a comfortable 4&3 win over Penelope Brown (Auchterarder) in the afternoon.
Like Saxton, Cameron Neilson needed an extra hole to make it through to the semi-finals, ending the fine run by Robin Fowlie (Forfar) who had seen off the top seed, Jasmine MacKintosh (Murcar), in the morning.

SCOTTISH WOMEN'S AMATEUR - RESULTS DAY 1
Jasmine MacKintosh (Murcar) qualified as the top seed for the match play stages of the Scottish Women's Amateur Championship, today.
Scottish Women's Amateur:
Jasmine MacKintosh (Murcar) secured her place as the leading qualifier for the knock out stages of Scottish Women's Amateur championship at the Trump International Golf Links near Aberdeen today, after she finished on four-over-par with rounds of 71 and 76.
Jen Saxton (Dunfermline), the winner of the St Rule trophy at St Andrews last weekend, and defending champion, Chloe Goadby (St Regulus) made it comfortably through to the championship match play too, qualifying as 2nd and 3rd seeds after they both finished on a five-over-par total of 149.
Also in the mix are Saxton's fellow Perth & Kinross Ladies' County team mates Megan Ashley and Katy Alexander. The Blairgowrie duo, who battled it out in the Clark Rosebowl final last year, which Katy won, ended their day on five and seven over-par respectively.
While, Lorna McClymont (Milngavie), who won the Irish Women’s Open Championship last month, just squeezed into the final 16 as part of a group of four on eleven-over-par.

SCOTTISH WOMEN'S AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP 2022
Good luck to the four Perth & Kinross Ladies' County Team members who are playing in the Scottish Women's Amateur Championship this week.
Scottish Women's Amateur:
The Championship will take place from Friday 3rd June to Sunday 5th of June at Trump International Golf Links, Balmedie, Aberdeenshire.
Chloe Goadby (St Regulus) will be looking to defend the title that she won at Gullane last year, where she beat Hannah Darling (Broomieknowe) 5&4 in the semi-final and Tara Mactaggart (Minto) 4&3 in the final.
Also in the field are Jennifer Saxton (Dunfermline) who won the St Rule Trophy at St Andrews last weekend, Lorna McClymont (Milngavie) who won the 2022 Irish Women’s Amateur Open Championship in May and last year's winner of the Clark Rosebowl, Katy Alexander (Blairgowrie).
The competitors will all play two rounds of stroke-play on Friday, before the top 16 scratch scores progress to the Championship match-play stages at the weekend. From the remainder of the field, the next best 16 scratch scores will qualify for the Clark Rosebowl match-play.

Entry is open to all members of the 4 Ladies’ County Golf Associations in the North Division: Aberdeenshire, Angus, Northern Counties or Perth & Kinross.
The Ladies' NORTH OF SCOTLAND Championship 25-27 July - £25
The Championship will be held on the Hawkshill Championship Course
- One qualifying round on Monday and match-play on Tuesday & Wednesday
The Consolation Round will be held on the Swailend Course
- On Tuesday for those who don't qualify for the match-play
The Girls' NORTH OF SCOTLAND Championship 25 July - £10
The Championship will be held on the Hawkshill Championship Course
- One round of individual stroke play (18 Holes) on Monday
Any County Junior Girl who chooses to enter the North of Scotland Ladies’ Championship will be automatically entered into the North of Scotland Girls’ Championship.
