SCOTTISH GIRLS' AMATEUR - KATY IS TOP QUALIFIER!

Perth & Kinross County Girls' Champion Katy Alexander (Blairgowrie) qualified as the top seed for the Scottish Girls' Amateur Championship at Blairgowrie Golf Club today.


Results from the qualifying rounds
Katy Alexander (Blairgowrie) followed up a solid opening round of 77 with a fantastic four-under-par score of 70 to sit on top of the leaderboard with a one-under-par total of 147. 

Three other players qualified for the weekend match-play on a total of 147. They were Rachel Foster (Prestwick & St. Nicholas), Carmen Griffiths (Aboyne) and Evanna Hynd (Lundin).

Well done to P&K County Squad member Kirsten Miller (Strathmore) who shot a one-under par nett total of 147 to qualify for the handicap match-play this weekend. 

Sadly, Megan Ashley (Strathmore) had to withdraw from the championship this morning due to injury. We wish her a speedy recovery.

Match-play Stages
After 36-holes of stroke-play today, the competitors with the top 16 scratch scores progress on to the Championship match-play this weekend. From the remainder of the field the players with the top 16 nett scores qualify for the handicap match-play.
