BARRIE DOUGLAS SCOTTISH JUNIOR MASTERS - RESULTS

Carmen Griffiths wins the U18 girls by one shot from Megan Ashley

What a finish to the first ever girls' Barrie Douglas Scottish Junior Masters! Starting six shots back Megan Ashley (Strathmore) came very close to snatching the trophy from tournament leader Carmen Griffiths (Aboyne).

Within seven holes their scores were level. And suddenly, with no-one else challenging, it became a battle between the two teenagers to see who would come out on top. As birdies followed bogeys it was impossible to call. But, in the end Carmen managed to hold off Megan's spirited challenge and secured the girls' title by a single shot.
