Maria Anna McBride (nee Hjorth), is a Swedish professional golfer, who like Matthews studied at Stirling University. McBride won five times on the LPGA Tour and twice on the LET, earned over $6 million and was a five-time member of the European Solheim Cup team. At the 2015 Solheim Cup, she served as an assistant captain for Europe.
